A video presentation of the new Southwest Integrated Facility in Maple Creek was in the spotlight at Monday's Cypress Health Region Board Meeting. The virtual tour showcases the scale of the new 7698 square metre integrated healthcare facility complete with 24 Acute beds (10 of which will be slated for multi-use) and 48 Longterm care beds. Large windows are part of the scale design along with a courtyard for patients and family members.

According to Brenda Schwan, Executive Director of Human Resources for the Cypress Health Region, a request for contractor proposals will go out shortly with hopes of a sod turning ceremony at the new site in Maple Creek later this fall. The construction costs for the new Southwest Integrated Healthcare Facility in Maple Creek ring in at over $45 Million.
