Swift Current Fire Crews Respond to Blaze
Around 3:00pm on Tuesday, the Swift Current Fire Department was called to the scene of a fire 6km East of the City. Upon arrival it was noted that a contract crew was cutting down poles by the train tracks when a spark ignited the grass. The wind flared up and the flames were out of control.
The Swift Current Fire Department controlled the scene and extinguished the fire between the rail tracks and the #1 Highway East of Swift Current.
