Severe Thunderstorm Watch for Swift Current Area
Environment Canada has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for Swift Current, Herbert, Cabri, Kyle and Lucky Lake. This is an alert to the potential development of severe thunderstorms with large hail and damaging winds. A warm and increasingly unstable airmass over Southwest Saskatchewan will bring the threat of strong to severe thunderstorms over the region this afternoon into this evening. Some thunderstorms have the potential to produce large hail and damaging winds. Showers and Thunderstorms are forecast for Today and a High of 25. Cloudy with Thundershowers Tonight and a Low of 15. Partly Cloudy on Monday and a High of 24 Looking ahead to Tuesday, Partly Cloudy, a slight chance of Showers and a High of 24. Sunny and 21 for Wednesday; 26 for the High by Thursday.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is also in effect for: Shaunavon, Maple Creek, Cypress Hills, Val Marie, Assiniboia, Gravelbourg, Coronach, Leader, Gull Lake, Moose Jaw, Pense, Central Butte, Craik, Kindersley, Rosetown, Biggar, Wilkie, Macklin, Outlook, Watrous, Hanley, Imperial, Dinsmore.
The seasonal High for this time of the year is 25 and the low is 11.
