35 year old Jason Froshaug of Swift Current Man is dead following a Semi Accident on the Highway through Swift Current. This morning at 1:05 the Swift Current Municipal RCMP responded to an MVA involving a pedestrian and a semi on Highway # 1, within the City limits. Froshaug, was struck and fatally wounded while crossing Southbound across the Westbound lanes. A Traffic Re-constructionist attended the scene and conducted an investigation. Weather is not believed to have been a factor in the accident. The accident remains under investigation. According to Cpl. Greg Smith of the Swift Current City RCMP, no charges are being laid against the Semi driver.

This stretch of the #1 Highway through the City also saw a fatal pedestrian accident several monthes ago when a Manitoba man was also struck by an oncoming semi.
