As vendors, entertainers and the general look forward to the 2012 edition of Market Square in downtown Swift Current, the City is buying a new tent for the event. Mayor and Council have approved the tent purchase in the amount of $40 000. According to City officials when the tent is not being used for Market Square it will be available for rental by third parties with the anticipation of recouping the purchase price in approximately 4 years.

Market Square is scheduled for every Saturday June 16 through September 22 in downtown Swift Current at the corner of Central and Chaplin.
