08/10/2012 - Four passengers are dead following a fatal train collision near Broadview. RCMP were called to the scene of the fatal motor vehicle collision on a grid road South of Highway#1 approximately 5 km East of Broadview,on Thursday night. The collision involved a camperized van and a CP train. The van was traveling South on a grid road when it was struck by an Eastbound CP train at an uncontrolled crossing. The 15 year old Male driver of the van suffered severe injuries, and was transported by STARS air ambulance to Regina. A 42 year old Female passenger suffered undisclosed injuries and was transported to Broadview for treatment. Meanwhile, Four other passengers in the van, including a 7 year old Male, two 11 year old Females, & an 18 year old Female, were pronounced dead at the scene.
