Update:Southwest Integrated Healthcare Facility
07/15/2012 - The Southwest Integrated Healthcare Facility in Maple Creek continues to push forward with the Cypress Health Region now issuing a Call for Construction Tenders. The tendering process launches on July 16 and concludes on August 10. According to the Cypress Health Region, A total of four General Contractor companies have prequalified for the construction tendering process. Through the prequalification process, it was determined that these four companies have the adequate resources and healthcare experience to complete the SIHF construction project according to the approved design. The ‘call for tenders’ process will allow the General Contractors to finalize their construction proposal in relation to overall project cost, timelines for completion, strategies for attaining the objectives of the integrated facility’s model of care, and other relevant construction issues. The bids will be publicly opened at Stantec Architecture’s office (SIHF Architect) in Regina on August 10th. They will be reviewed and evaluated by the Project Team, which will be followed by an approximate two week timeline for the Ministry of Health and Cypress Health Region to approve and award the contract. Discussions with the successful General Contractor regarding the initiation of the next steps will begin immediately after the award is completed.
