07/10/2012 - A new two year contract has been approved by Swift Current City Council with Waste Management through May 31, 2014. For now residential customers will not see an increase on their utility bill for the $8.00 Solid Waste Collection Fee. However, the City is incurring a .75 cent per residence increase for solid waste collection by Waste Management due to the land tipping fee component increase of 60 percent over the past two years.
