06/26/2012 - The Chinook School Division has announced a balanced budget for the 2012-2013 school year. Total School Division revenues are expected to be approximately $86.6 Million, while it is anticipated that expenditures will come in at $85.36m. This results in a surplus of $3.24 Million. However, approximately $2.86 Million of that surplus is non-cash to be used in funding future amortization on capital assets. $380 000 is the projected cash surplus, which represents 0.44% of the total budget.
