06/14/2012 - A portion of the Highway #4 South of Swift Current was blocked on Wednesday afternoon following a traffic obstruction. Around 4:50pm, RCMP were called to the scene approximately a 1/2 mile South of the Rhineland turnoff to allow for the transfer of a shipment of grain from one semi tractor trailer unit to another.

Further to the RCMP's investigation it was revealed that a home that was being moved through Swift Current by truck resulted in semi tractor trailer unit hauling grain to be forced off the Highway to the point where it could not return to the Highway without the high probability of rolling over. As a result, the tractor trailer unit had to have its load transferred to another tractor trailer unit in order to return to the highway from the shoulder. Traffic along this stretch of the Highway was blocked off for approximately 30 minutes.
